Description
10x40 Condor Roof Prism Binocular - 18–21040 Invented about the same time as the telescope, binoculars are actually two small telescopes with right side-up and left-to-right correct viewing and used for all kinds of visual applications including: Spectator Sports, Wildlife Watching, Astronomy, Hunting, Land Surveys and Geographic Work, Security, and various types of Inspection Work for Industry and the Military. The reason binoculars were invented in the first place was to make telescopic viewing easier to do by reducing eye strain, because both eyes could remain open and there was no visual confusion as images appeared to have “normal” orientation in their brighter, higher resolved, and more magnified view. Since their invention over four centuries ago, many improvements have been made in optics and body design, resulting in three major designs that are used today: Galilean Lens, Porro Prism, and Roof Prism. Of the three, Roof Prism binoculars are the most compact, but they are typically the most expensive. Considered a full-size binocular and good for all around use, the 10x40 Condor Roof Prism is exceptional because of its ultra-compact folding design, rugged rubber amor body, multi-coated optics, comfortable eye relief, and affordable price that will astound you. Case and strap are included.
